Language format settings for date, time and numbers are now separated from language settings. November 1 , 2024.
Format settings control how numbers, date and time are presented and entered. Data can now be reported in the number format that each individual user prefers. And at the same time keep the platform language as something else. For example: English text but Danish number formats.
Decoupling these settings gives each user more freedom to collect and input data in the format they prefer based on their background or location and personalize the platform to their needs. This is something many customers have asked for to improve their overall experience and reduce the risk of entering data in wrong format.
The platform automatically converts and saves the data in a consistent format, regardless of which format a single user has entered the data in. This make it possible for an organization to collect data in different formats but analyze it and present it in the format they prefer.
No historical data will be changed. It is only the presentation of number format, dates and time that will be affected.
Format settings can now be set by individual users, see Help guide for Settings page. If no user setting is made, it defaults to the language in the user's web browser.
