Setup surveys in multiple languages

Modified on Tue, 1 Apr at 9:34 AM

The first time a language is added to a survey, please reach out to your Position Green team. The following instructions are provided for seasoned users of Position Green.

Finalize the template in one language before translating it into other languages.

Step 1: Go to Company setup and Surveys. Click the survey to amend the survey settings. Choose Settings from along the horizontal menu. Add a new language by clicking "+Add language." Then, name the language, select a culture, and select an export template for the survey.

"Export of questionnaire (English)" unless there is a template for the language e.g. Swedish or German.

Step 2: Click "Export Translation" to export the current survey and add the translation for all questions and elements. For support in adding translations to the Excel sheet in the correct format, contact Position Green.

The Excel spreadsheet details the survey, with each row representing an element or question in the survey. Translations can be added to the column marked with the name of the language. Include text and HTML in this column. Save the file.

Example of Excel file. See Finnish to be added in column F.

Step 3. Click "Import Translations" to either drag and drop or choose the file to import. Contact your Sustainability Platform Expert for support if an error message is shown.

Step 4. Review the translation of the survey. In the survey, choose content in the horizontal menu. Click the icon with three blocks to enter the survey builder. Click the multilanguage icon. The text in the survey can be edited in this view.

See how to amend welcome text. Note that if there are more languages added, the language can be selected from the dropdown under Text.
