Information barriers - Sustainability Reporting

Modified on Mon, 24 Mar at 4:28 PM

Information barriers are used to restrict who can see sub-units and sub-unit data.

Restrict who has access to which Organizational unit

Restrictions can be set up to define who can access specific org.units in Report Data and what is visible in the Export and Registration Statistics. Depending on the role the user has in the platform there are a few different alternatives.

Reporters

Reporters always only have access to the data for the organizational units they are obligated to report data for.

Org.unit controller

Allocate the role org.unit controller to limit what users can follow up on. Org.unit controllers can follow up on and edit all data connected to the org.unit + sub-units in question.

Read access for a limited part of the organization

Allocate the role org.unit auditor to limit what users can read with no editing access. Org.unit auditors can view the data under the org.unit + sub-units in question.

Manage information in the Analytics view

When the Manage Access functionality is enabled, the Analytics will be available for the Tenant Administrator. Follow the step-by-step guide in Analytics view: Advanced.

Shared Analytics views can be set up in read mode so that other users can view visual generations of the data.

Manage access for Dashboards and Visualization

Your Sustainability Platform Team can support setting up dashboard accessibility so that the dashboard will show data visualizations appropriate for the user. Reach out to your team with the following information defined:

  • Which users/group(s) of users should have access to which dashboard visuals?
  • What type of KPI/answers/assessments should users be able to see?
