Emission boundary

In the Emission boundary tab, you can find and manage the organisational hierarchy of your emission boundary.

"Emission boundary" is a GHG protocol technical term, see our Methodology for reference. 

Here you can also change the Control approach of your Company. This changes how emissions are aggregated adross your organizational structure, according to the GHG protocol and our Methodology. 

Note that any changes to your organizational structure will also change your emission boundary historically, according to GHG protocol and SBTi best practice. That means that if you sell an organizational unit or a subsidiary, the historical emissions of that unit will also leave the carbon accounting of your company also back in time. But dont worry, any reported emission snapshots are kept, if you need to see or compare the emissions before exit.
