Pilot feature
Group Reporting is currently being piloted with a limited set of customers. Functionality may change as development continues and feedback is gathered.

What is Group Reporting?

Group Reporting helps companies collect ESRS data from other organizations that also use Position Green.

Use Group Reporting when one company in a group — typically a parent or investor — needs another company — typically a subsidiary or portfolio company — to contribute data toward its overall reporting. It gives both sides a shared, in-platform way to:

  • assign reporting work across company boundaries
  • let the responsible person complete the requested registrations where they already work
  • follow progress from one place
  • cut down on manual handoffs and separate tracking spreadsheets

How it works

Group Reporting involves at least two organizations:

  1. Requesting company: coordinates the reporting process and assigns work to another organization.

  2. Responding company: receives assigned registrations and completes the requested reporting.

Shared registrations

There's no separate "send" or "request" step. The registration a responding company works in is the same registration the requesting company sees — changes are visible in real time on both sides, and the two companies can comment and @mention each other directly on it, instead of coordinating over email.

Two ways to complete a Group Reporting registration:

  1. Manual entry — fill in every field manually, as for any other registration. This always works, regardless of setup.
  2. Suggested data — when the two companies' setups are compatible, suggested answers can be pulled from data the responding company has already confirmed elsewhere, saving re-entry. Your Position Green contact checks compatibility.

Who owns the data

Data entered through Group Reporting belongs to the requesting company's reporting context — even when a responding company user is the one typing it in. It's included in the requesting company's exports, analytics, and review tools. It is not included in the responding company's own exports, analytics, review data, etc. Group Reporting is a way for a responding company to report into the requesting company's context, not a way to pull data back into its own.

Existing Group Consolidation customers

Group Reporting is the successor to Group Consolidation (previously known as Group Sync).

Group Consolidation remains available for existing customers while Group Reporting is being piloted and prepared for general availability.
