Automatic risk screening (early access)
Automatic Risk Screening identifies potential sustainability, compliance and reputational risks across a supplier base. It combines external data with Position Green’s risk expertise to highlight suppliers that may require closer due diligence.

Understand the scope
Automatic Risk Screening supports decisions; it does not replace supplier collaboration or surveys. Use the results to identify high risk exposure, limited data visibility and areas that require targeted follow-up.
Automatic Risk Screening is currently available as a limited pilot.
Run a screening
- Open the supplier profile.
- Open “Risk Profile”.
- Select “Run screening”.
The screening checks risk indicators and relevant certifications based on the supplier context.
View screening results
Open “Risk profile” after the screening is complete. The tab contains:
- Industry and country risk: Inherent ESG risk associated with the supplier industry and countries of operation.
- Certifications and ratings: Relevant sustainability certifications and standards, including available evidence and potential gaps.

Interpret results
Treat exposure as a signal
A screening result describes risk exposure, not proven misconduct. Industry and country risk show the ESG risks typically associated with a sector and geography before mitigating measures. Treat a high score as a reason for closer review, not as a judgement of actual supplier performance.
Review both parts together
Compare inherent exposure from industry and country risk with available evidence from certifications and ratings. Together, these results indicate where risks may be managed and where more information may be required.
Act on results
Prioritise the supplier base
Segment suppliers into follow-up tiers. Identify areas where risk is most likely, then follow up with targeted supplier surveys in line with the OECD due diligence process.
Send targeted surveys
For suppliers with high exposure and limited evidence, collect missing information through a survey. Focus questions on the risk topics identified by the screening.
Record the assessment
Document the conclusion and decision on the supplier profile. Keep the reasoning traceable and visible to relevant colleagues.
Set actions and follow up on gaps
Convert identified risks and evidence gaps into trackable actions. Review progress over time to show how risks have been addressed.
Review the methodology
Screening results use recognised external indices and ratings together with Position Green’s risk methodology. Sources include supplier websites, sustainability reports, financial reports and public registries.
What if my supplier is not linked to the Position Green database?
Simply search for the supplier and link it. Once it is linked, you will be able to run the screening
