Allow Org Unit Controllers to work with Decarbonization

Who is this for?

Admins and users who manage access and permissions, and Org Unit Controllers who work with Decarbonization.

What this does

You can enable a setting that allows Org Unit Controllers to access Decarbonization across organizational units.

When enabled, Org Unit Controllers can:

• Add, edit, and delete scenarios
• Add, edit, and delete actions
• Regenerate AI-suggested actions
• View scenario data (including data across organizational units)
• View the Carbon Management hub with all it’s data.

This setting is optional so you can keep information barriers in place if needed

Before you start

• You need to be an Admin (or have the permissions required in your setup) to change role access settings.
• Decide whether your organization wants:
  • Cross-unit collaboration on decarbonization, or
  • Strict information barriers between organizational units

Enable access for Org Unit Controllers

1. Go to Organization Settings.
2. Find the setting for Org Unit Controller access to Decarbonization.
3. Turn the setting on.
4. Save your changes.

Result: Org Unit Controllers can now use Decarbonization as described above.

Turn the setting off (to keep information barriers)

If you need to prevent Org Unit Controllers from viewing data across organizational units:

1. Go to the same setting for Org Unit Controller access to Decarbonization.
2. Turn the setting off.
3. Save your changes.

Result: Org Unit Controllers will not have Decarbonization access beyond what your setup allows.
