Information barriers

Modified on Wed, 7 Oct at 5:25 PM

Information barriers are used to restrict who can see sub-units and sub-unit data.

Restrict who has access to which org. unit

Restrictions can be set up to define who can access specific org.units in Report Data and what is visible in the Export and Registration Statistics. The options depend on the user's role in the platform.

Reporters

Reporters only have access to data for the org.units they report on.

Org.unit controller

Assign the org.unit controller role to limit what users can follow up on. Org.unit controllers can follow up on and edit all data connected to the org.unit and its sub-units.

Read access for a limited part of the organization

Assign the org.unit auditor role to give users read-only access to part of the organization. Org.unit auditors can view the data for the org.unit and its sub-units.

Manage information in the Analytics view

When Manage Access is enabled, Analytics is available to the Tenant Administrator. Follow the step-by-step guide in Analytics view: Advanced.

Shared Analytics views can be set up in read mode so that other users can view visualizations of the data.

Manage access for dashboards and visualizations

The Sustainability Platform Team can help set up dashboard accessibility so that each dashboard shows the data visualizations appropriate for the user. Contact the team with the following information:

  • Which users or user groups should have access to which dashboard visuals?
  • Which KPIs, answers, or assessments should users be able to see?
