Welcome to our FAQ about the move from Factlines to Position Green’s Supplier Management platform. Here, you’ll find what’s changing, what will happen to your data and surveys, and what you may need to do. Transition details can vary by account, so we’ll confirm your timeline and any actions with you before your move.
1. Why are we moving?
Why is Factlines moving to Position Green?
Factlines became part of Position Green in 2026, and we’re now bringing the two platforms together into one Supplier Management platform. Your current pricing will stay the same, and we’re prioritizing the transfer of your company data, users, supplier lists and relationships, historical survey information, and follow-ups.
What’s changing?
You’ll get access to the Position Green platform, and your data will be transferred there from Factlines.
2. When will the transition happen?
When will the transition happen, and when will we hear more?
The first customer moves are expected around the end of November 2026, with further moves planned through early March 2027. Your customer-specific transition date or window will be confirmed before the transition.
We sent an email about the change on 27 October 2026. You’ll also see updates in the platform about what’s changing and the timeline. As your move gets closer, we’ll keep you informed by email and through the platform. You’ll receive an email about your move two weeks in advance.
What do we need to do before our transfer date?
There is nothing major you need to do apart from accepting new terms and signing a new data processing agreement (DPA), and familiarise myself with Position Green.
Is our transition date a fixed date or a general time window?
Your customer-specific transfer date or window will be confirmed before the transition. You will receive information in the platfrom about this.
3. What happens to our data?
What happens to our existing data, users and supplier lists?
We’re prioritizing the transfer of your company data, users, supplier lists and relationships, historical survey information, and follow-ups.
What exactly will be transferred from Factlines to Position Green?
The transition is planned to include your users, suppliers, historical survey data and scoring and follow-ups.
Which data will not be transferred, or may look different after the transition?
Your setup may not be an exact copy of Factlines. Custom scoring, survey coverage supplier groups, chain surveys, and some follow-up history may differ. But we do our best to mirror what your current factlines set-up looks like.
Will our historical supplier answers, documents, scores, follow-ups and reports be preserved?
Historical survey data will be preserved after transition, and follow-ups are planned to transfered with the questionnaire. Historical scores and risk results will be transferred as stored numbers and labels rather than recalculated. Because Factlines and Position Green handle survey versions differently, some historical information may be available in an audit log rather than in the standard analysis views.
Will historical data remain searchable and usable for reporting, or will it only be available as a read-only archive?
Historical data will be preserved after transition, but it may not all appear in Position Green’s standard analysis views because Factlines and Position Green handle survey versions differently. Some information may instead be available through an audit log. You’ll also retain read-only access to Factlines for a transition period; you won’t be able to create new surveys or edit or add suppliers there.
Can we export a copy of our data before or after the transition?
You will remain access to export reports from Factlines both before and after the transition.
How will suppliers be matched between the two platforms?
Supplier matching is part of the transition process.
What happens if the same supplier appears more than once, or if its company information has changed?
We’ll transfer all the supplier you currently have in Factlines and what their data look like. If you don’t have duplicates there, you should not expect any duplications in Position Green.
Can we find suppliers who have already answered surveys without sending them a new survey?
In Position Green, it is currently the supplier who chooses what to share and not. You still need to send a survey to the supplier to request specific data from that supplier. We are looking into how we can make this approval of sharing data more seamless.
4. What happens to work in progress?
What happens to surveys that are open when our account moves?
All the open surveys will also be moved. The suppliers can continue to respond to surveys in Position Green.
What happens to suppliers who have started but not submitted a questionnaire?
We will transfer the inprogress answers, and the supplier can finalize and submit their survey in Position Green.
What happens to scheduled reminders and follow-ups?
In Position green we have automatic reminders for all surveys. All follow-ups will be transfered together with the surveys.
Will suppliers receive a new invitation or login link?
Suppliers will be asked to activate a Position Green account and accept the new terms and service agreements. If they don’t want to create an account, they can continue as a guest for all new surveys that are sent out from Position Green.
Will any surveys need to be recreated or resent?
No, the current send-outs or anything in progress will be transferred.
Will there be downtime, or can we continue working during the transition?
We will do the transfer off working hours to minimize any downtime expereince.
What happens if we discover missing or incorrect data after the transition?
Reach out to either your customer success manager or support@positiongreen.com and we will confirm how they will be reviewed and resolved.
Is there a validation period during which we can report transition issues?
Three months.
5. What changes in Position Green?
Will all Factlines functionality be available in Position Green?
Most of your main workflows will be supported, including:
- Finding and adding suppliers to your supplier list
- Initial supplier risk assessments based on country of operation and industry
- Standard and customer surveys
- Scoring for out out of the box surveys, follow-ups and reports
Some features will differ or won’t be available during the transition:
- A read-only user role in Position Green is not currently available.
- Group access between setups will not be included in the first phase of the transition; we’re still clarifying the requirements and timing.
- Supplier groups won’t be available during the transition. Position Green currently uses tags, but tags are not a complete replacement for supplier groups; a similar feature is planned for the beginning of 2027.
- Chain surveys beyond tier 1: suppliers in tiers 2 and beyond in existing chain surveys won’t be transferred. Chain-survey forwarding is not currently supported in Position Green; it is planned for a future release, but is not available today.
Can we still send standard and custom questionnaires?
Yes. Position Green supports standard surveys and customer-specific survey templates, including custom questions, assessments, follow-ups and reporting. The exact survey mapping and scoring available after transfer depend on your setup. Talk to your customer success manager if you have a custom survey about how that works in Position Green.
Can we combine standard questions with our own custom questions?
Yes. In Position Green, you can build a survey template with sections, add your own questions and configure conditional follow-up questions. Factlines survey question sets are structured differently, so your existing setup will be mapped to Position Green rather than copied one-to-one.
Will our scoring model and categories produce the same results?
Historical scores and risk results will be transfered as a stored number and label; they won’t be recalculated. For future work, Position Green’s standard assessments and scoring are not a one-to-one copy of Factlines’ global question-level scoring. Custom question sets do not automatically receive the same out-of-the-box scoring, so talk to your customer success manager to validate whether your account needs a separate scoring setup.
Can suppliers reuse answers and documents across surveys?
Answer and document reuse is not fully equivalent. Position Green currently supports reuse in standard-survey workflows. Soon, suppliers will be able to reuse answers and documents across customers. You will get more infomation about this in through our newsletter and in-app communication.
Can we send surveys beyond tier-one suppliers through a chain survey?
Suppliers in tiers 2 and beyond in existing chain surveys won’t be transferred during the transition. Position Green does not currently support forwarding a survey down the supply chain, so this workflow cannot be recreated during the transfer. A future chain-survey capability is planned, but no current release date should be assumed.
Can we use supplier groups, tags or partner access in the same way?
Supplier groups will not be available during the transition. Position Green currently offers tags, but tags do not provide complete parity with Factlines groups for sending, analysis and follow-up. Access between customer setups also differs and won’t be included in the first phase of the transition; we’ll confirm what this means for your account.
Will our existing follow-up history, priorities and conversations be available?
We’re prioritizing the transfer of follow-ups. The exact treatment of follow-up history, priorities and conversations will be confirmed for your account.
Can different customer companies or entities access the same supplier information?
Access between customer companies or setups may differ from Factlines. We currently don’t allow sharing survey responses between setups. We are looking into the need for a group structure for our customers.
Can we send annual self-assessment questionnaires and see reports in Position Green?
Yes. You can use standard or customer surveys and standard or custom assessments, along with scoring, follow-ups and reports. Customizable dashboards, year-over-year analysis and answer-distribution dashboards can also help you understand your results.
Your setup may not be an exact copy of Factlines. Custom scoring, survey coverage and mapping, supplier groups, chain surveys, and some follow-up history may differ.
What other features will we have access to in Position Green?
You’ll also have access to:
- Supplier benchmarking
- Automated risk screening
- More advanced analytics, including customizable dashboards and year-over-year analysis
- Customer-managed survey templates and custom questions
- Customizable email templates
Follow-up functionality on question level and priority is available, but it is not yet full parity with Factlines’.
6. What do we need to prepare?
How much time should we set aside to review our data in Position Green?
The time required will depend on the size and complexity of your setup. We’ll provide customer-specific guidance before your transition.
Do we need to prepare or clean our supplier list first?
We’ll confirm whether any supplier-list preparation is needed for your account before the transition.
Do we need to recreate survey templates, custom questions, reports or dashboards?
We’ll confirm which templates, questions, reports and dashboards will transfer and which, if any, need to be recreated.
Who in our organisation needs to approve the transition?
We’ll confirm which customer contacts need to complete the required actions, including acceptance of the new DPA and terms.
What should we communicate to our suppliers before the move?
We’ll provide guidance on any supplier communication required before the transition, including account activation and new terms.
7. Pricing, contracts and legal terms
Will my pricing or contract change?
There will be no license or price increase as part of the transition, and you’ll keep your current pricing when you move to Position Green. Any future pricing review or charges for new features would be handled separately and communicated through the usual commercial process.
Will we need to accept new terms or a data processing agreement?
Yes. Your license terms and pricing won’t change as part of the transition, but you’ll need to accept a new data processing agreement (DPA) and new terms and conditions.
Where do we sign the new DPA, and by when?
You will either be able to sign in to the Factlines platform or through conversation with your customer success manager.
What happens if we don’t sign the DPA by the deadline?
If you don’t sign the DPA we won’t be able to schedule you for the Position Green upgrade. Any questions regarding the DPA? Please reach out to your customer success manager.
8. Users, suppliers and login
How will existing users access Position Green?
Use the email address registered to your account as your username. Activate your Position Green account and use your own password or login code.
Will users keep the same email address and permissions?
We’re prioritizing the transfer of your users. However, users with read-only access in Factlines will not be migrated as read-only users, because Position Green currently has no corresponding role. We won’t grant users more access than they should have during the transition. A read-only role is on the roadmap; once it is available, you can invite those colleagues to Position Green again.
Which login methods are supported?
SSO, login code and with password
What should we do if an activation email or login code does not arrive?
If you haven’t received the activation flow, contact support@positiongreen.com.
Will suppliers need a new account to log in?
Yes. Suppliers will need to activate a Position Green account and accept the new terms and service agreements. Their existing answers will be available once they’ve accepted the agreements.
Supplier access is free, and suppliers don’t need a paid Supplier Management subscription. More than 25,000 suppliers are already connected to Position Green.
If suppliers don’t want to create an account, they can also continue to respond to the surveys as a guest; however, they won’t get the benefit of ability to reuse answers.
What will suppliers see when they receive a Position Green invitation?
They will first get an email about the survey they have received from you through Position Green and a link to the survey. If they already have an account, they are automatically authorized and linked to the survey. If they don’t have a PG account from before they will get the option to create one or continue as a guest.
Can suppliers continue answering during the transition?
If your questionnaire has been moved to Position Green, they will be able to continue answering in Position Green
Will supplier access remain free?
Supplier access is free, and suppliers don’t need a paid Supplier Management subscription.
Can we add the same number of suppliers in Position Green as in Factlines?
Yes. You’ll be able to add the same number of suppliers in Position Green as you currently have in Factlines. The old Factlines “Limit” field is no longer active and doesn’t affect the system.
9. Access to Factlines after the transition
Will we still have access to Factlines after the transition?
Yes. You’ll still be able to access your Factlines setup after the move, but you won’t be able to make changes to it.
You will have access until December 2027.
How long will we have access to Factlines after the transition?

Will Factlines be read-only?
Yes. You’ll still be able to access your Factlines setup after the move, but you won’t be able to make changes to it.
Can we still export data from Factlines during that period?
Yes, you will still be able to export data from Factlines with the export options available.
Will we be notified before Factlines access ends?
We’ll notify you before any change to your Factlines access.
What should we do if we need information after Factlines access has ended?
We can’t guarantee access to the information after your access has ended. Make sure to have the conversation with your customer success manager before you access is ending.
10. Surveys and supplier communication
Can we remove a supplier from a survey after sending it?
Yes. Open the three-dot menu, select “Remove from survey” and confirm.
- Company Admins and controllers can remove suppliers; this isn’t limited to Position Green users.
- You can remove a supplier even if they’ve started answering and saved their progress. You can also remove suppliers after they have submitted their answers.
Can we chat with suppliers outside a survey in Position Green?
Position Green doesn’t currently offer a general chat with suppliers outside a survey. You can use comments and @mentions tied to items such as measure points, as well as follow-ups. The supplier will get both in-app notifications and emails about these comments.
11. Training and support
Will we receive training on the Position Green platform?
