Overview

A responding company uses Group Reporting to complete registrations assigned by a requesting company, within its normal Position Green workflow.

Finding assignments

Group Reporting appears in the Data Reporting menu. Open it to see:

• which requesting company the work came from
• which registrations need attention and how much work is outstanding

Complete assigned reporting

From Group Reporting, open assigned registrations and work in the same registration flow used elsewhere in Position Green. Changes are visible to the requesting company in real time, so both sides can follow progress. 

Suggested data

What is suggested data? It is an optional way to speed up reporting: when the responding and requesting companies report on the same framework and version (for example, both on ESRS v2.1), Position Green can pull answers from the responding company's own registrations in Data Reporting and suggest them on the assigned Group Reporting registration. It is a convenience, not a requirement — manual entry always works, and each suggestion can be accepted, edited or ignored.

A registration's status shows where suggested data stands: it starts as Awaiting source if suggested data is connected, moves to Suggestions available once the underlying source registrations are confirmed (insert them all at once, or one at a time), and can later flag as updates available if source data changes after a suggestion has been inserted. Nothing is entered without a user's action.

Once suggestions are available, either insert all at once — which inserts every suggestion currently available — or insert one at a time by opening a registration and accepting or skipping each suggestion individually. Inserting one at a time is useful to check a value against its source before accepting it. Anything still awaiting source is left untouched either way.

Access and collaboration

• The reporter responsible for Group Reporting is assigned by the requesting company.
• Any user with the controller role in the responding company can view and edit Group Reporting registrations. 
• Users can invite colleagues as collaborators to help complete registrations they have access to.
• Users can comment on registrations they have access to and mention anyone else who has access to the same registration — including requesting-company users.

What happens to the data

Data entered through Group Reporting belongs to the requesting company's reporting context. It does not show up in the responding company's own exports, Analytics, Tabulate, etc. Group Reporting is a way to report into the requesting company's context, not a way to duplicate data back into the responding company's own context.

FAQ

Can auditors see comments and reporting activity?

Activity within the registration, including comments, is visible to users who have access to the registration, including auditors with the appropriate permissions.
