List items are made up of:

  • A name - displayed to the reporter.
  • A value - used when making calculations.

The List overview.

Purpose of Lists

  • Primarily, lists hold master data for different types of factors. This includes emissions factors. It is possible to create an emission factor list.
  • Lists can support data reporting. For example, water types, materials, waste types, etc. can be included under a dropdown function.
  • Lists can be used in Position Green's setup for example, in menus and on pages.

It is helpful to understand that:

  • Lists are not connected to a specific year and can thus be used across many years.
  • Assigning a version number to a list allows metadata to be adjusted and for these adjustments to be recorded.
  • Assigning a PrettyID is optional but is recommended to allow full functionality including doing advanced calculations.
  • An unlimited amount of lists and elements in the lists can be added to Position Green.
